850mb. temperature averages 13C over the next 15 days normally, but they remain above 15C for a full 10 days (11-21).     We are going to have 5+ 90deg. days., I think.    Precip. has disappeared too.    Two days ago I mentioned the 95deg. possibility here.

It finally looks like the spring pattern may be shifting to more of a summer-like one. After the big warm up next week, the trough doesn't return to the East like it has all spring. Longer range, the guidance goes to a trough over the Central US with a warmer ridge on both coasts.

It's long range though and so far we haven't had extended periods of cool or hot. So we'll have to see if things change. Also, it's  only June with lower averages than July and August. Harder to get long heat waves.
