Chicago Storm
Low of 76 this morning at ORD, which puts the record high min temp of 75 (1920) that Hoosier mentioned in jeopardy... If it can hold later, with potential for outflow from storms in WI tonight.
Hoosier
88 at ORD. May be a little tricky to get to 95 at this rate. It rose 5 degrees after noon central on Saturday and 7 degrees after noon yesterday, so it's not out of the question yet.
hawkeye_wx
Our dewpoint has hit 70, for the first time this year perhaps, but at least during the current warm stretch.
cyclone77
89 here with some fair weather cu popping up overhead. Winds have a slightly more westerly component today, but dews a bit higher than yesterday with more clouds. Thinking 93-94 at MLI will do it. Tomorrow looks like the hottest of the stretch with 95-96 looking possible as long as convective debris doesn't factor in.

While CMH just hit 90 at intra-hour for a second day in a row, same here. DAY will likely stop at 89 for today, especially the fact that TWC already reduced today's highs to the mid-80s early this morning.

cyclone77
Those storms up by route 20 are just close enough to tease us a bit. Sure could use some rain, which is hilarious considering how we couldn't get much dry weather last month.
hawkeye_wx
The outflow from the storms up north pushed through here. We've had quite a few 30+ mph wind gusts over the last 30 minutes. The temp has plunged to the mid 70s.

As expected the storms over Iowa crapped the bed as they approached the area.

HRRR/RAP breaking out widespread popcorn storms tomorrow afternoon, which has to be watched for 90+ issues, should that activity occur. Then there's very good agreement on storms for Wed/Wed night, which could put 90+ in jeopardy that day as well.

hawkeye_wx
Rain chances are starting to look better around here with three or four possible events through the weekend. The WPC's latest graphic has 1.5+" in a band through eastern Iowa. That would really be nice.
Chicago Storm
Looks like instead of popcorn storms this morning being an issue for a 90+ day, instead it's a lake enhanced OFB currently moving through that will be the issue.Looks like what could have been another day in the mid 90's with around 70F DP's, will struggle to hit 90 now. hawkeye_wx
Each day, the dewpoint rises a bit more, now up to 74. It is now officially steamy hot. Surface flow is still very messy, with the OFB washing out. Temp is jumping quick though on 5min data. I'm back onboard for 90, but anything more is still iffy.
