Just now, Indystorm said:

Do you have a basement or safe room in light of your experience with May 22, 2011?

Yep, storm shelter. Packed everything I wanted to keep (important documents, etc..) in there earlier anticipating today.

Better wind profile in terms of directional shear with that Ardmore sounding (in addition to the insane CAPE of course). Bulk shear vectors more perpendicular to the dryline as well. Still pretty modest speeds in the lowest 1 km, but with the extreme instability and some increase in speeds possible towards 0z, could envision problems possible with with any cells down the dry line. Appears that more substantial CI in this corridor is becoming imminent as well.
