Yeah, that was some impressive video on TWC.

Of course I it was on mute, that gal with her constant naggy soundbites and the white-hair guy are awful.  "Now is the time to have an escape plan."   Huh?  It's straight line winds, not storm surge.

Had widespread bins 800-1000FT AGL of 70-80kts... (80-90+mph)

very concerned about what happened in TN from the earlier complex with people outdoors and camping

widespread tree and structure damage reports coming in

plus the current stuff

Yeah big camping area here. Usually when complexes like these move through they weaken but still pack a punch. This didn't weakened but rather strengthened as it moved into Smoky Mountain National Park and my area. A lot of people in town too. Plus some of the trees are still weak from the fires we had back in November.

The storm in extreme north east Oklahoma is pretty intense for 11:15, and considering the fact that it's been raining in that general area for 4-5 hours.

Meanwhile there was 2.5in hail south of Woodward at 10:55. Plus it was probably wind driven, ouch....

Ringling mesonet site is sitting ENE 32G51 mph.

That's tornadic inflow alright.

Why are the outbounds so pathetic though(or were before the range fold decided it wanted to be right there), normally that's a symptom of storm motion, but since it's moving perpendicular I wouldn't expect to see that. I highly doubt we have a 20mph RFD on this storm when inflow is reading near 60mph at the sfc and over 100mph aloft.

Are you using KTLX or KFDR? TLX has been weird all day for southern OK.

Radar is kinda confusing on both FDR and TLX.

KFDR was weird on velocity on May 16th as well... and TLX was weird on May 18th as well to an extent. Not sure what's wrong.

Don't think it made it to baseball sized hail here. It looks like most of it was around quarter sized with some slightly larger. It was very noisy and destructive to plants though. They did get golfball sized in Carthage.
