Tomorrow and Thursday into Friday look like the main threat periods. May not be nice but looks dry today and Wednesday

That's true.  Mount Holly mentions that this week will be hot and humid, with the best chances for convection on Tuesday and Thursday like you said.

Nassau has a south shore too. That's a north shore special. Based on the radar looks like some hail went through places like great neck. Watch the wantagh mesonet come in with .01

Radar was showing a potential microburst earlier near Little Neck Bay.

Did they change the way warnings were issued? Usually northern Nassau/Queens are separate from southern Nassau/Queens. And Suffolk is typically divided into NW/SW/NE/SE, not just W/E.

It's redundant in some cases, but useful in other cases.

I meant both northern Queens and northern Nassau. Don't know why the entire counties got a warning, only the northern halves looked like they had the potential for severe conditions, but what do I know.

Not a big deal, but I got excited for a split second hearing my weather radio go off. I didn't even see a drop of rain.

Worst of the storm went just to my north, as is usual. East Northport always seems to jackpot out here. My house got 0.07 from the storm, some decent thunder for out here.

Sky as she rolled in.

Winds were gusting to about 30 when it first came in.
