The National Weather Service in Upton NY has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Queens County in southeastern New York...
  Kings County in southeastern New York...
  Western Nassau County in southeastern New York...

* Until 115 PM EDT

* At 1121 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain moving north
  across the advisory area. The rain will cause minor flooding
  across poor drainage and low lying areas.

Dry slot? That whole slug is slowly moving East. It will get out by you eventually. More convection should continue to fire out ahead over the ocean too.

Biggest rain totals will be NYC and LI, based on the radar.
