In Cape May, NJ

Been a few decent squalls...but  you can smell a bust...sorta the theme with rain events. All the ear markings of hype.

People in the weather business are lucky people don't measure rain like snow..or the media would get cooked.

Some guy told it must have rained 3 inches today...lol

Curious if you've looked at the radar as a wall of water is coming up through the DE Bay as we speak. Cape May about to get smoked.

that's not going to dump more than an inch though, it's moving fast and the band is not that wide.

Radar looks juiced.

Yeah I don't understand all the pessimism with this storm. It's almost like people are rooting for it to fail. While the convection is moving North at a decent clip, it's crawling East and the HRRR has been trending slower and slower with that Eastward progression since early this morning.

HRRR chopped back-granted some has fallen, but the 2inch plus amts appear to be out for most places

There comes a point where you just look at the radar and outside the window. Must be raining at least 0.50"+ per hour rates currently and the brightest banding hasn't arrived here yet.
