BuffaloWeather
I would say from my limited experience and viewing the damage that this was definitely a tornado albeit a weak one. Cars were pushed into each other, windows in the cars all blown out, metal from the fairgrounds was littered all over and wrapped around other metal. Large branches were all over the place. I'd say EF 0 or EF 1 damage. Winds had to be at least 90 mph to push cars into each other.

BuffaloWeather
JUST IN FROM BUFFALO POLICE - NO TRAVEL IN THE TOWN OF ORCHARD PARK SOUTH OF POWERS RD. due to storm damage. Roads are impassable. I've never seen no travel in Buffalo aside from snowstorms. Pretty insane day here.
BuffaloWeather
That being said, BUF did have a nice TDS pass just south of town. Could've been a tornado on the ground for at least a few volume scans. I saw a few volumes scans with debris to nearly 4,000 feet.

Some damage looks like it could be pushing EF2 (TDS was tall enough to support it too).

BuffaloWeather
Yeah I thought EF2 was 111 MPH+, max winds were 105 MPH, so wouldn't that make it a strong EF1?

Looks like it just missed a direct hit in the village. Crude map I marked up with what I've seen so far... 1. Damage to hotel and restaurant. 2. Extensive damage around the fairgrounds. 3. Residential area around Best Street in OP looks like a bomb went off almost every tree in the neighborhood looks torn to shreds.
OSUmetstud
cool yeah I think a hit to the village would have been considerably worse.
