I posted this in the interior thread, but wanted to include it here in case anyone missed it. Had a great view of the Dutchess supercell yesterday. Here's one video, there are several more (and pictures) if you look at my twitter feed. There's a video on CBS that looks like there may have been a brief touch down near Maloney Road in Poughkeepsie. NWS will be looking in the area today. There was a lot of hail associated with this storm as well. Mostly quarter sized, but I heard from a couple friends that mentioned there was some up to golf ball sized mixed in.

NWS has confirmed an EF-1 tornado briefly touched down yesterday. The area in question is about a mile northeast of where I filmed the funnel cloud.

Well of course, I haven't spent much time out West and have only ever flown over that area.

I asked my buddy in Denver. It was June 1999.

We were 35 miles east of Denver.

Heading out to Denver in 7 days.......then out to Steamboat Spring high country for fishing.

It hails all the time out there...but this storm was unique.
