If you follow this years trend both days will probably end up being unmitigated disasters.

The Euro and GFS even try to develop some sort of surface low late Sunday into Monday too.  The Euro mostly misses way north by Canada but the GFS is right overhead, so you could argue they show potential for 3 bad days

Yeah the GFS drops 2-3" of rain during that period. I think the GFS is likely overdone based on the upper levels.

This must be the first time that NYC had 6 days in February with a warmer high than Memorial Day.

It's unreal when you think about it.  I lost count of how many days never even got out of the 50's here this month.  Yesterday was one, and currently it's only 55°

today may be another in some areas.  Socked in here with east winds....56 degrees-unless we get a break of sun or two, 60 is going to be a tough sell.

I agree, very surprised if we see any 60's today, outside of maybe a few spots.

The pattern this spring has been mostly the low maxes driving the daily cool departures. Yesterday was a great example of this in NYC. A -13 max with only a -2 minimum.

Definitely, and like Brian said, the clouds played a big part in that.

Yeah, and most of the 42 days this spring with measurable precip were smaller rain or drizzle events. Only 6 of those days were more significant 1"+ days.

Enough for April to set a record.

But the rainforest in Olympic National Forest is gorgeous.:D

https://www.usnews.com/news/us/articles/2017-04-25/soggy-seattle-lives-up-to-name-breaks-another-rain-record

SEATTLE (AP) — Soggy Seattle has broken another rainfall record, and Portland is inching closer to smashing its own record.

Seattle measured 44.7 inches (114 centimeters) of rain between October and April, making it the wettest such period since records began in 1895, the National Weather Service in Seattle said.

It marks the second year in the row that the city has topped the historic rainfall record for that period.

Seattle also set a record number for wet days from October through April.

They are classified as days with at least 0.01 inches (0.3 centimeters) of precipitation. The city had 144 wet days from October through April and only five dry days so far this month.

Some parts of Washington state have had it much worse than Seattle.

Quillayute Airport near the town of Forks along the state's northwestern Pacific coast has received 116.1 inches (294.9 centimeters) of rain since Oct. 1.

One resident of the Pacific Northwest, however, took a more practical attitude toward the never-ending wetness. Valerie Bass moved to Oregon 43 years ago for college from Southern California and stayed. Now, she's so used to the rain she doesn't use an umbrella.

"There has been quite a bit of rain," she conceded. "As long as we don't have to shovel it, right?"

Only made it to 57 today after 58 yesterday...only a 3 degree diurnal range each day also.

60/54 yesterday and 58/54 today. Very cool air for nearly June; feels more like early April. -1.9 for May here, after a +4.2 April, and -2.4 March. Near normal meteorological spring temps, rainfall well above normal. 8.03" for May thus far (more tomorrow).

Outside NYC and EWR, most stations will finish May with a near normal May departure.Notice how LGA and BDR continue to be the warmest stations like we have seen recently right on the LI Sound.

EWR...-1.6

NYC...-2.4

LGA...+0.8

JFK....-0.1

ISP.....0.0

BDR..+0.6

-1.8 degrees here...a pretty good May departure, even with the 3 day heat wave. Also have managed to pick up about 0.05" of drizzle this morning.

Looks like NYC will be the only major local station to finish the spring with a small - departure. Notice how close LGA and BDR ran this spring right on LI Sound.

MAM local departures

NYC....-0.2

EWR...+0.2

LGA....+1.5

JFK....+0.5

ISP...+0.7

BDR...+1.1
