NJwx85
Wind driven steady moderate rain. If we do actually get some stronger convection it could get quite interesting. Granted not for our immediate area, but all of this should advect into our region bringing with it heavy rain and possible gusty winds and lightning. Yeah it's come to an end now, as quickly as it began. It sounded like a little hail may have been mixed in there at times, the short periods of thudding I heard didn't sound like rain at all, but I suppose it could've just been some very large/heavy raindrops. It's going to come down hard and fast for a couple of hours and then we'll see if it all fills in and we get more through the early evening or if we're done. As the DC squall line moves towards the bay it's really intensifying now. That's probably the back edge for us tonight sometime around 5-6PM. It wont matter. We're not talking severe here. Biggest threat is flash flooding, gusty winds and a few strikes. Look at the fire hose pointed right at us. NJwx85
BTW most of what DC has already seen is associated with the warm front that gave Northern GA all that rain yesterday. The cold front is down in the Carolinas and VA where the real severe threat was.
