Wind driven steady moderate rain. If we do actually get some stronger convection it could get quite interesting.

Granted not for our immediate area, but all of this should advect into our region bringing with it heavy rain and possible gusty winds and lightning.

Was a brief heavy downpour when it moved through here a few minutes ago. That stuff is really flying north.

those showers dumped 0.15 in like 15 minutes, up to 0.58 for the day.

Yeah it's come to an end now, as quickly as it began. It sounded like a little hail may have been mixed in there at times, the short periods of thudding I heard didn't sound like rain at all, but I suppose it could've just been some very large/heavy raindrops.

It's coming, have you looked at KDIX recently?

doubtful there's widespread flooding though, it's mostly convective rains here vs stratiform heavy rains like in CPA.

Squall line starting to get going to our south-that will swing through the area in the next 2-4 hrs....

It's going to come down hard and fast for a couple of hours and then we'll see if it all fills in and we get more through the early evening or if we're done.

As the DC squall line moves towards the bay it's really intensifying now. That's probably the back edge for us tonight sometime around 5-6PM.

Won't the "stable" marine air take some of the juice out of that squall line when it gets up here?

It wont matter. We're not talking severe here. Biggest threat is flash flooding, gusty winds and a few strikes. Look at the fire hose pointed right at us.
