Temps not to bad today, much cooler then yesterday. Current temp is 62 which is a bit higher then forecast so far.

Besides a midnight high in the upper 60s I thought the bulk of the day would be steady in the upper 50s. Instead warming into mid 60s, not bad. I was lagging behind though, Sound influence I assume but now im into low 60s too.

Yeah my station will finish in 2nd place also behind 2010.

Kind of a deceptive month here with so many back door and stalled warm fronts to our south days. Made it seem like it wasn't as warm as it really was at times. But the warm minimums and the numerous 70 and 80+ days really added to the monthly departure.

Yeah only 1 sub 40 degree low, last week featured quite a few well below normal days but mild nights so the departures were only a couple degrees

I was at the water near Toys R Us with my kids earlier. Wicked whipping cold wind. The wind chill was a lot colder than the actual 57.

Yeah, it feels cold when the wind blows.  Massive difference from yesterday, which was not only hot, but humid.  58° currently.

The +20 on Saturday let several local stations pull within a tenth of a degree behind 2010 for the warmest April on record. Very impressive temperature volatility compared to 2010 which was very warm in March while this year was cool.

NYC...#1...2010....57.9...#2....2017....57.1

LGA...#1...2010....58.1....#2...2017....57.4

JFK....#1...2010...55.4.....#2...2017...54.9

ISP....#1...2010...53.4.....#2...2017...53.3

BDR...#1..2010...53.9.....#2...2017....53.8

How does the rainfall for both months compare?  This April, our two warmest days were the 16th and the 29th, and it reached 85 here on both days.  Outside of those two days, we had no high temps in the 80s.  But we didn't have any lows near freezing either, and very few in the 30s at all.
