I don't know how people like this weather literally sweating doing nothing. That my friends is not enjoyable! Yes a blizzard u bundle up but damn it's beautiful!

Maybe if you left that concrete jungle once in awhile you'd appreciate the warmer weather more.

Great night here.  Cool air coming in now, getting fresher.  Much nicer than freezing in the Winter and having to be stuck inside.

Signing in after the Sabbath.

Wow was that a light show in the early morning! Too bad none of the airports and the park got any of it for the statistics. Pretty sure we got over an inch of rain in that half hour.

Yup it was some storm , we ( bp) got .63 inches in a half hour i attached a screenshot of my station, amazing lightning and thunder , heaving precip seems to have been to our southwest.

Thanks! I and my wife were woken up by it and we watched the show for the entire time. Mesmerized.

The +20 on Saturday let several local stations pull within a tenth of a degree behind 2010 for the warmest April on record. Very impressive temperature volatility compared to 2010 which was very warm in March while this year was cool.

LGA...#1...2010....58.1....#2...2017....57.4

ISP....#1...2010...53.4.....#2...2017...53.3

BDR...#1..2010...53.9.....#2...2017....53.8

Looks like a highly amplified and unsettled pattern for the first half of May as AO/NAO tank to lowest level in months.

Good chance of interior seeing frost/freezes if this plays out as well as a ton of rain potential.

I usually don't worry about heating oil this time of year, guess I should check to see where I'm at.  It's usually really low by now.  Damn...
