HoarfrostHubb
Guidance seems to be settling on a decent, if not larger, snow event for much of CNE and SNE Mass suicudes predicted for spring prancers. Salt and sand until May

HoarfrostHubb
It's hard to get a powder storm this time of year. But April 2016 proved the exception
CoastalWx
Lots of questions in lower elevations. You'll definitely need to get into the heavy precip or it could be a lot of mix I think. Especially eastern SNE. But too early to figure that out.

Its useless but the model has a few warm layers aloft as the p-type charts show. BDL sounding...classic IP/ZR we'll have to watch on the southern extent. Just to show the difference, pretty cool to see as the GFS gets the CCB going and dynamically washes out the warm layer at BDL that the NAM has so stout. Note the time scale is different. weathafella
Not that anyone cares but I've got an eye on it. Every 20 years (approximately) we have a late season bomb. 1956 1977 (May) 1997 2017 i hope it happens because 2037 is no guarantee for me to say the least....lol. Although accumulations were most impressive well inland, May 77 (May 8th?) got accumulating snow all the way to the coast. I was but a lad but if I recall it was definitely a surprise storm. There is very little information on-line regarding that storm but I believe elevated areas in WNE and E NY got over a foot.

WinterWolf
April 82 was incredible here in Central CT. Was in 8th grade..we were out of school for two days!! Never will forget that one..riding snowmobiles around the neighborhood during it..and Thigh high snow in the yard when it was all said and done. Certainly one for the record books here!!
