powderfreak
Some random photos from today driving to lunch in Jeffersonville and back through the Notch. Passenger in a car through the windshield so quality not great but love the contrast. This snow was from last night's round before this afternoon's snow moved in. Steady orographic snows moved back in this afternoon. These next two are from up in the 2,000ft range. Stowe side of the Notch at about 1,700ft. mreaves
Even had some moderate snow roll through here between 6:30 & 7:00, enough for a brief slushy coating on the grill cover.

adk
Was up by Enosburg last night for a wake and there were flakes mixed in with a cold drizzle. Check of the webcams this am shows a good snow overnight. I'd say it was crazy to have snow in May but it happens every year...

wxeyeNH
Sneaky frost last night. Skies cleared out late at night. Temp fell to 30.8F with some frost. Looking out this AM I can see Mt Cardigan to my west has some snow. Elevation 3180. Darn cold this AM and gloomy!

tamarack
Beautiful pics, and the lower elevations look about a week ahead of my area. I especially liked PF's 2,000-footers - the first for the huge boulders and overhanging branches that characterize the notch, the 2nd for those ent-like trees. Seattle rain is centered around fall and winter, when every little cloud seems to dump a shower (at least the two times I was there for Thanksgiving week.) They get less rain annually than many New England locations, and comparatively little during summer. West slopes of the Cascades or Olympics are a different story. powderfreak
Some more photos from yesterday's late season snow. Snow accumulation on trees started as low as 1,200ft and that's sort of how the accumulation went up to 1,500ft in the base area of the ski resort. Tree-top accumulations with very little on the warm ground (hours and hours of light upslope snow doesn't accumulate on the ground too well when its that warm). A couple hours later after the snow melted up to roughly 1,700ft. Then even later on around 4-5pm when the snow level had melted up to almost 3,000ft. The white really brings out that 3,000-4,000ft elevation band.
