whamby
still on the muggy warm side in CHA... just a nick BN for June.. that always translates to comfortable for the mountains though. We can do summers even cooler than this, just haven't had one in a few years.

No drought or wildfire concerns for the foreseeable future! Yeah we have been getting a healthy dose of rain just about daily or every other day. We had some heavy showers this morning and looks like more developing to our west. It looks like this pattern continues for another couple of weeks if not for most of July. Buckethead
Been an interesting day up here. Awoke to a storm around 6 am, had round 2 around noon and topped out at 73 before it rolled in, and currently listening to it absolutely dumping rain on my roof. These hit and miss storms can really hammer down. Some get lots of rain and some don't but very typically summer weather here.
wncsnow
At my dads house near Marion they have had close to 3 inches of rain since Saturday, and remain above average for the year
Met1985
It looks like we will see an increase in rain and storms starting today through tomorrow. Then we will see a significant cool down especially for this time of the year. Highs this weekend will be well below average with temps ranging from the low 70s to the high 70s with lows in the low to mid 50s with some 40s maybe sprinkled in the highest mountain peaks. Just a splendid weekend on tap for the mountains.
Buckethead
I think I may camp on Big Bald Saturday night. I've been wanting to do some milky way photography and the lower humidity should help my shots. Looks like lower 50's at least. Can't wait!
