WeatherNC
Coming down in sheets with light returns overhead, vis around 1/2 mile, I would say we are closing in on 6", there was 4" in the parking lot when we arrived a couple hours ago. CC has the transition about 60 miles south, Trenton back to Reading, but damn is it marching north.

Maybe my reporting mate down the road can verify Temp 26.
BBasile
That's a wicked push of warm air. Didn't even make 2" of snow/sleet before the full transition to rain. Looks like some busts are in order. Rain rate has been at about 0.1"/hour. 32.3F
The Iceman
still heavy sleet. Looks like snow has compacted if anything. may not even get to 4 inches...

Ralph Wiggum
This will rival the great Valentine's Day sleet totals in spots provided we dont switch to plain rain.

Normal weekday 5am traffic starting outside it looks like. same here roads mostly just wet. nws should unplug their phone at this point because there is going to be a lot of angry people that will lose a day of business for no reason because of how much they hyped it up and didn't mention this being a possibility so most closed in advance instead of waiting until morning to make a call. most schools could probably have functioned on a 2 hour delay as well. WebBreaker63
Being this an observation thread - I am observing :-) a Transplant from Toms River NJ, and have no weather equipment set up, I have. 4" on the ground, work is canceled, it is sleeting like hell - no complaints, just observation, BTW, love the area :-)Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk
RedSky
Got up expecting death band in the February and had light flakes. More than expecting 100% knowing I would wake to crazy death band rates and woke at exactly the transition to sleet. Couldn't make this up. shemATC
Looks like heaviest precip so far coming on shore by Cape May/Delaware Bay. Too bad most of us will see it come through as rain or sleet (if we're lucky)
The Iceman
I'd honestly rather it change to rain than stay sleet the rest of the storm so I don't have to shovel.

Newman
I can't tell by CC radar if I'm in sleet or snow because I'm right on the line. So freaking close and keeps wavering back and forth.
