Looks like the banded structure may be tighter to the coast during the pivot. This was the HRRR total precip from 4Z, I think it showed where it the band would set up. ErinInTheSky
I truly can't believe this. This is the heaviest snow of the whole storm.
BTRWx
The Baltimore area should get a nice burst at least.
MillvilleWx
Steady light snow in Germantown. It's really pretty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ltrain
I'm under the band in eastern central aa county. It's was a mix of sleet and some flakes but the snow seems to be taking over. It's pretty light for now but it seems to be picking up in intensity a little bit. Temp right at 32.

RichmondTarHeel
Just cruel. That band setup literally just east of me. I could have probably stood on the balcony and watched it develop East of here.

Since my driveway is small -- approx 20 feet by 20 feet -- I just have one of those little cord-powered blowers. I'm gonna go ahead and see what it does later. LOL it might not even bite into it, we'll see. My wife made me because it was my first major winter storm. My muscles ache, it was literally shoveling a sheet of ice. midatlanticweather
That is really cool to watch on radar.. suddenly in a line to the east there is lift and a huge band. Sad it isn't all of us, but hopefully some fun and some accumulations for some!
ErinInTheSky
The HRRR got mad we were trash talking it. I am getting a huge burst of massive flakes.
Ltrain
Did anyone lose power from the ice? I did this morning for about 2 hours. I then walked outside to see if the neighbors in the area had power or not or to see if a tree had take down some power lines. I was about to go back inside and then I saw 2 transformers blow up in the distance followed by 2 booms. First time I had even seen a transformer blow up. WVclimo
Final total was 8.0", all snow. That makes it the largest March snowfall in my 11 years in WV, topping 3/5-6/2015 (7.5") and 3/16/2007 (6.0")
smokeybandit
Mother Nature sure can be a smart ass. GIves us rain/sleet when the surface is cold, but gives us snow when the surface is warm.

smokeybandit
Anne Arundel county already announced a 2-hr delay tomorrow. However, they were supposed to get a 2-hr early dismissal so they're just shifting the day around.
