I mean, yeah, we all hoped we'd somehow miraculously get a pure snowstorm, but this is definitely a high impact event, and it's surprising to me that LWX downgraded to advisories for some. Sleet is way worse than snow. Anyway, I was just outside for a bit and it's downright nasty out there. Doesn't feel anything like March. Agree. Warning was close to verifying here for example, and still might, for snow/sleet alone. Add in the ice, and it's certainly high impact.
H2O
28.9F. Had sleet all night long. Looks like total cement out there will measure in a bit. 2-3" is a good guess for now

BlizzardNole
Wow that wind -- I have never seen blowing and drifting sleet before LOL. Oh what this could have been! Light sleet, 29 degrees, about 3.5" (Germantown)

HRRR shows 3+" (although that's 10:1) in the next four hours. That would be pretty sweet.
66degreesnorth
I was just out in Cleveland park, still light sleet, but side roads completely covered in a snow-sleet amalgamation. Hard to see how those roads recover if we're dumped on for a few hours. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

vance1167
Im not really dissappointed at all. Marginal temps and miller bs usually dont work for us. I would be happy if we didnt get another snowflake. And after the last few winters, I cant bring myself to whine.
ErinInTheSky
Heaviest sleet of the whole storm so far right now in Gaithersburg. It's actually pretty intense.

smokeybandit
Roads weren't too bad. 32/295 were pretty good in AA county (just watch for the spots where they decide to quit plowing the lane you're in). 195 was OK, as was 95 up to the Baltimore beltway. Beltway deteriorated a lot between 95 and 70. 29 and sleet just off the western beltway.
