wolfie09
Sweet looking band rotating into oswego county, don't think it makes it here, must be around double digits by now..The only report i have seen from the county so far is oswego 7" about 5 hrs ago.. rochesterdave
Man is that lake open for business. Entire western south shore getting good returns. Snow is mod-hvy again. Visibility really would qualify for blizzard. Winds are real close too. Just not sustained.
winter_rules
26" on the ground in NW Delaware County. The flakes have been tiny all day so the snow is actually very dense....but there are mini avalanches and "cracks" in the snow on steep banks because the snow doesn't hold itself together. Very unstable. My brother has 27.5" on the ground in NE Delaware County. Both of us are still adding to it for now.
tim123
On Lake Shore it's horrendous watching on news now. Took a drive down 441 to penfield. White outs abound.
TakeMeToManos
Just got in from attacking the driveway... Complete whiteouts here. Not sure if it's lake enhanced or just in one of those heavier bands from earlier. Winds are going to be a significant problem with this powdery snow. (Newfield... Three miles SW of Ithaca)
janetjanet998
THE BINGHAMTON NY CLIMATE SUMMARY FOR MARCH 14 2017 VALID TODAY AS OF 0500 PM LOCAL TIME. SNOWFALL 26.
steffen
Just went outside, and it sure feels like a raging blizzard here. May become my top favorite storm, and I lived in BUF for 7 years. Pretty much heaviest snow so far in the last few hours. Winds have really picked up. Some of the roads here seem all but impassable. Can't give a good estimate with all the drifting, but has to be at least a foot OTG by now with >2' drifts. Utterly enjoying it even though I was really ready for spring
Revracer800
About 8-10" of sand here. Windy as hell.

WNash
Finally big flakes in northeast Buffalo. Maybe inch-per-hour stuff. When I snowblowed a little while ago we were at about 9" and we have had more than an inch since.
tim123
You can see lake enhanced streamers all the way into pa. On a North wind off of Ontario. That's impressive on a short fetch due north wind
tim123
Roc can do well on a North wind we sit at the widest part of lake. 53 miles.
tim123
The max fetch roc can get is 80 85 miles on a north east wind. But nw monroe and north east monroe can max close to 100. On a ne wind for nw monroe and 100 with a wnw wind for ne monroe

BGM Blizzard
The band is expanding on the west edge. Guess I was wrong, this thing may be here for a while. BGM mentioning 290-310 flow with time, so might actually get some enhancement off Cayuga Lake down this way to maybe keep us in the game longer. I've seen more sleds riding around on the roads than cars I think. BGM is only about 7" away now from 2016-17 becoming the all-time snowiest on record! rochesterdave
That band is shifting west due to the 700 LP. It came in very far west. Around Binghamton (surprise). It could add to interest times this evening anywhere N and W of it. The synoptic and Lake effect are almost in battle. It looks as if the synoptic band wants to retrograde even further west. It is already to Wayne/ Monroe County border. IDK. What do you guys think?
tim123
Nws has 24 to 30 from roc to Oswego now including me.
