Buffalo Bumble
Man, lots of negativity on BUF area from OSU and others....I'm over 5 inches, it's been snowing more or less for the last 18 hours, and looks to continue for a while with occasional heavier bursts from lake enhancement. BUF had my area in the 8-12" range, with accumulations over an extended time period...so I'm not ready to call this a bust for WNY by any means. CNY-LES FREAK
Look at that thing that's about to enter Madison County, wow, and if that doesn't make it here then I don't think we'll eclipse the 2' mark nevermind 30" but I remain optimistic! Im telling u the model trends over the past few days. There is no doubt that things looked a bit better for that area about 2 days ago when the great lakes shortwave was separated from a further east coastal. Enjoy your snow. I am directly under that band in central Otsego county. It is snowing at an insane rate. Trapped at work, so I can only eyeball but we have at least 18 inches on the ground and it looks like 3 inches per hour coming down. I have only seen snowfall at this rate twice before in my life.
