CNY-WXFREAK
Because the city isn't getting anything really substantial so the rest of the CWA doesn't matter as they just broad brush the event. Whatever, I'm done commenting on their discussions.
BGM Blizzard
BGM update... .NEAR TERM /THROUGH WEDNESDAY/... ***Dangerous Winter Storm Underway*** 620 am update...An intense mesoscale band of heavy snow has set up from Bradford County extending into Broome County then NE along the I-88 corridor. We have already received reports of a quick 6-8+ inches with this band as snowfall rates are intense with high snow ratios. Concern is this band may not be shifting too much over the next several hours so we raised snow amounts in this area for this morning as we expect to continue seeing rates of 1-3+ inches of snow per hour at times. BGM Blizzard
So the '93 total of 22.3 is already halfway to being topped. Rough math says we need about 36 to make this season the all time snowiest in BGM which was 131. Came in at about 96. Heading out to clear snow. Will be back in few hours
BigDeal
Troy, NY here... woke up to a couple inches already on the ground, snowfall intensity has picked up nicely in the last half hour. The radar certainly suggests I'lll get plenty of snow out of this!
