BGM Blizzard
Setting ratios at 15:1 puts totals in the 30-36 range for i-81 area and catskills. Just a sick run. If only...
Gravity Wave
GEFS is west and throws a lot more precip up towards us. 0.75-1.00 for everyone as opposed to .5-.75 at 18z.
BGM Blizzard
Great 0z package tonight. Hopefully it's not a 1 run fluke. Peace out for now.
rochesterdave
So this needs to be referred to as the 'Storm of the New Century'. Areas from Rochester, to Syracuse, to Bing, to Albany, up into Dacks, look to see 2'-3' of snow. Unbelievable. Even Buffalo and far WNY gets at least a foot. This is a big deal guys. A really big deal.
tim123
Anyone got a close in map of western ny?

rochesterdave
Just before the run, I posted the 1" qpf of the 12z euro with hopes it maintained. Here is the new qpf. With 1.4-1.6" for kroc. ****ing syracuse and bing are off the rocks.
tim123
So final totals are 1.5 qpf for roc on euro dave. With 15 to 1 18 to 1 roughly 2 feet. Give or take
rochesterdave
I gotta believe this will be the best euro run for the western portions. Will we fall off significantly? Ehh, maybe not. But the last 24 hrs before storms typically consolidate closer to the east coast. Time will tell. But what a run. Damn. Bing and Syracuse just get pulverized. The Euro is king again. We gotta keep in mind the huge model discrepancies. With Ksyr getting anywhere from 6" to 36". Just a few runs out. I'd say this is still a low confidence fcst for anyone west of albany. With maybe moderate confidence for those of us south of Lake Ontario. I'd expect a high confidence fcst tomorrow after the 12z runs. I feel the comedown after the euro. No new models for several hrs. Time for bed, I guess.

CNY-WXFREAK
Its game time folks, and I said the whole suite tonight would tick West but the Euro surprised me with such a big jump West or a few ticks but West nonetheless! This shouldn't change drastically as we are less than 24hrs out from start time

rochesterdave
None of the euro ensembles are east. None. About 25% go up Connecticut river valley. So the euro sollution looks solid.
