Yeah that looked like it would be a very solid storm.  Phasing at hour 48 it looked like right at the end of the run.

Well ...there may be some subjectivity to that opinion but, I don't necessarily agree with that first bold portion, either.

The thing is, the purer phase is still on the table, and..has been the whole way going back a week.  So I don't honestly think it fairness we could preclude the 'blockbuster' scenario.

Having said that, this 12z NAM almost looked a little worse in the mid levels for 'heading in the direction' of a purer phase, compared to the 00z version.  But, also keeping in mind...we're just talking the NAM.

There is approximately 25 mm in an inch so that looks like a lot more than that to me.  I'm seeing a small area west of Boston in the 50-75 mm rage as the max.
