People always kill me when they whine about snow around here. I'm like, "What are you complaining about? We rarely get anything big around here. I think you can handle the couple of inches we end up getting while others get a foot." This is why I'm always so skeptical anymore and have low expectations. This usually ends up being the result. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk Man, they are giddy over in the CPA thread, but I truly don't see the insane totals they are talking about verifying. Possibly Harrisburg east you see some 20+ totals, but the crew in places like Williamsport, Altoona, state college...the trends this morning haven't been great. State college and Altoona especially. MikeB_01
12z Euro.. Confirms everything else we have seen today... The models have been wobbling slightly for a week, does it have one last push to the west?
jwilson
Wonder how much longer until NWS drops the advisories, or maybe not if they actually think there's the possibility of the deform bands making it over the area? I see we're more stuck in the subsidence zone, and it appears as the though the NS shortwave is awfully weak overall. Most of the energy probably pulled to the south. Must really believe in the deform bands that aren't showing up on the models. I think we are looking at a 2-3 event. I'll be thrilled with 4 in. Worst type of event is when you watch it slowly whittle away as you get close to the start. I think its made worse by every Joe public running around talking about the big storm tonight when you know its not going to happen, that and this is quite possibly the last threat of the season, sure something could pop up, but climo will really start to argue against anything meaningful. Honestly, in my gut I have a feeling I'll wake up to less than an inch at this point, maybe I'm just in a bad mood! Then all day tomorrow will be people talking about how the storm busted, meteorologists suck, they can be wrong 90% of the time blah blah blah, all by which point I'll just want to forget about it and move on. JoJo
Always tracking, this storm could have a little surprise for us, and we get maybe several inches, but if we get a few inches i will be happy so i can get one last good snowy scenery i get to go on a hike through before spring is truly here The HRRR is comical a this point, we will see how the storm set ups because models are just that, models. This winter overall has been one strange one to say at the least

MikeB_01
The satellite imagery on this system is awesome, but you can really see why we are setting up for what we are. SteelCity08
Wouldn't have been so bad if it kept trending this way on Saturday. You got the feeling yesterday that this thing was actually going our way at the last minute. Still isn't as bad as march 14' though, that was brutal lol. Last year and 2014 were single handedly the worst. Last year my cousin 40ish miles away got a foot. Watching moderate-heavy bands disappate was brutal.
