Expand Yep, been up in Blacksburg for 2 years -- finishing up my meteorology degree this spring. Extra elevation is always nice, especially back in Roanoke. nomanslandva Posted March 13, 2017 Share Posted March 13, 2017 NAM sounding went from .86 total at 12z to .39 at 18z. Looking at radar it looks like we are sort of dry slotted between the systems. Temps are bad too. We need rates and it does not look like we get it. It might end as snow (the last tenth or so of liquid) here but having a 98x storm at VA Beach, it is hard to believe we are looking at .3 in total qpf.
