EUROPEAN MODEL ENSEMBLES SHOWS THAT THE OPERATIONAL EURO which at 1pm took the LOW waaay East ... and hence a lot LESS SNOW for all of the Northeast US-- IS BOGUS... fake, spurious, false, , deceptive; counterfeit, feigned; , pseudo, fictitious.

He should really tell us how he really feels...

What could CTP possibly be waiting for?

Maybe they are busy re-calculating the adjustment of MDT's snow measurement from Friday?

I've noticed over the years that they are usually more enthusiastic if State College is in the bullseye for an event.

Its embarrassing they don't collaborate with the other offices.

I have zero issues with them waiting. They'll put headlines up if needed after the 0z runs.

Agreed, I honestly didn't see much support for BGM's nearly region wide 12-18" from anything not named or conceived from the NAM from either 12 or 18z. Even the 12z GFS didn't have that much in most of that region.

At any rate CTP just put their watches up.. leaving out their western most counties including the Laurels ones. I don't like it (right on the edge as usual) but I agree with it right now. Stating potential for 6 inches or more vs BGM's potential for a foot or more. I just feel like BGM's widespread foot or more potential has high bust potential attm.

The kiddies  mentioned a "state of emergency". None issued yet. Of course, their entire following are now tweeting and fbing that a state of emergency has been issued.  also they posted their first guess. that was in line with the NWS.

As a emergency service person, this pisses me off

Is 0z GFS at normal time tonight or is it already pushed back an hour? F'n time change is stupid and useless.

Everything will be usual time tonight, it'll just go automatically to 3am when the Euro finishes at 2am.

12km NAM through 69 looks pretty close to the 18z run, maybe just a hair southeast with it's QPF axis in southern PA but it's pretty much splitting hairs close. NE PA however has even heavier QPF (more solid region of 1.25"+. Also continues the trend 18z started with it really creating a gradient between say my location (near the 1" QPF line) and not very much in the Pittsburgh region (a few tenths).
