Same.

"I'm so done with winter. We shouldn't have any more snow."

PEOPLE WE HAVE HAD NO WINTER SHUT UP.

I told a woman at work that we might get a foot + yesterday.

She said, and I quote "you might get a foot + up your @ss.  I just need to decide what boot to wear."

I then proceeded to email her some pics w/ colorful snow total maps.....cause I'm like that. :)

Just a thanks to all for the superb discussion (as usual) of our better late than never winter.

As an aside, I was lucky enough to win the Weather World trivia contest this year.  The prize is a one year subscription to WeatherBell.  And wow, just so much amazing stuff!  Being only weather hobbyist, I wish I was better at interpreting all the goodies available.  Kind of overwhelming actually.  Imagine what forecasting was like before all this.

Looks like Monday night/Tuesday morning still looks FANTASTIC..

Fixed.

Surface looks better at 90.  Crush job incoming.

colorful pics soon.  Cant wait to see em.  24 hr panels uptick about 3" in eastern Pa and shows that 6" basically all throughout Pa except Erie.  But hey they get lake effect.  No bother.

Here you go.  After further review, snow distribution out in the Laurels came down noticeably (I'd think due to consolidation of L's)

Still a beatdown all the same.  This is what I was hoping for, but a tighter westward qpf distribution sorta matches the surface.

Those worried about coming too far west, I think based on 500 it doesnt seem likely.  It does shot a slight NW shift once in NE, but that would be there problem...not ours.

Hope the rest of the day goes well.  I took a snow day to get chores done.  Hope to be back for Euro.

Seems like the storm was actually a pretty good one across most of the area. Nice to see some white on the ground for once, even down here!! This afternoon is still gearing up to be squally, so anyone out and about, keep an eye on the radar.

Your forecast was pretty well done! My conservative amounts were pretty close, but missed low in some high terrain south of the PA Turnpike. Squalls this afternoon, then onto Tuesday!

Thanks Matt!! You absolutely did the correct call on your totals. I was worried, but banding setup right at the perfect time this morning and saved my southern tier forecast. I'm intrigued by the squall setup for today. Could be some nice ones given the steep lapse rates developing this afternoon across western and central PA. I'm pretty stoked for Tuesday. I'm just taking it one step at a time over here haha

Forum,

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to begin sucking in air, intake only, starting Sunday night.

The objective is to suck the storm just west enough to pour rain on I-95 while the inland basks in a bracketbuster of snow.

But you must remember; "suck yes, blow no."

Good sucking.
