Seems like Virginia gets more tornadoes then Tornado Alley this year!

Good thing that wasn't 60 miles north or I would have been scrambling back from my dinner break. Even then, it looks like a beast of a cell for a while; hell, it was arguably the best looking storm in the country for a few scans.

If nothing else the weak disturbance by Jamaica, the one the GEM model develops slightly and moves here, might bring us a moisture surge (higher PWATs) by that time frame.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN LOUDOUN...NORTHEASTERN WARREN...SOUTHEASTERN
CLARKE...NORTHWESTERN FAUQUIER AND SOUTHERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES...

At 700 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Round Hill to near Linden, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

No hail here in SE Loudoun, but very strong winds as the storm passed.  Picked up my nearly full trash can and threw it across the cul-de-sac.  Also very heavy rain, my gauge isn't keeping up but we must have a half inch in the last 15 minutes.
