Kmlwx
Fast storm motion on these warnings - 55mph on one I saw. Really booking it eastward. I like that meso discussion from SPC.
caviman2201
The ground level wind is pretty legit... Can only imagine when the storms start mixing down the stuff at the upper levels.

ErinInTheSky
If the DC split forms, then we will have fairly discrete storms, which would mean a bigger TOR threat.

Eskimo Joe
Classic DC split evolving. Don't see how we get a second line out of this given the temp drop behind the lead activity.

mappy
So, the winds are stronger behind the actual front edge of the precip. At least per radarscope when I look around.
EastCoast NPZ
Line split from 66 to Rt. 37, as usual. Got strong wind gusts and a few sprinkles that couldn't even wet the ground. Another miserable fail. Even better....the wife informs me that when she (just) got back home, both my trashcans and both recycle bins are gone (another wind "event" on trash day). God, I hate this miserable place.

Looks like a little shortwave or piece of energy embedded in the line. Probably what's robbing the storms from DC. 6 minutes ago, yoda said: I am going to laugh if they issue a TOR watch -- http://www.spc.noaa.gov/products/md/md0243.html Would be fitting to top off a fail like that for DC proper.
