OceanStWx
Gotta love the happy hour runs. 18z NAM throws the dry slot to Halifax instead of PSM where it was on the 12z run.
beavis1729
Enjoy the snow, all! I'm living vicariously through the New England forum, especially Maine. Good stuff and great pics. Here in the NW suburbs of Chicago, we haven't seen any snow since December 15. Pretty crazy...
Morch Madness
GFS looks a little better with the vort but nowhere near the NAM
ORH_wxman
18z GFS is definitely SW with H5 through 24 hours....but this really isn't surprising considering how far north the GFS has been. It has been the northern outlier so far.

klw
18 Z GFS has less juice to it up here and is weaker than the NAM. MEh.
HoarfrostHubb
I do like NWS Gray mentioning Maine folks should clear out vents etc due to CO poisoning. Was just telling my students about that risk today (not for us...but we were introducing them to compounds)

Yup. I was clearing my MILs roof yesterday, not because of collapse chance (her fear) but because her sewer vent pipe was buried

Latest map shows less than an inch south of the Pike and Newburyport maxing out with 3". I wouldn't put a lot of faith in Box on this, given their complete muff around these parts on the last one. Situation is very similar with a back end.

eyewall
For BTV there is high bust potential on this either way (high or low). There is no confidence in the IVT placement, a lot will depend where the squalls line up, finally there will be a lot riding on heavily blocked upslope. This will be fun to watch
