NJwx85
Highest gust of the day so far has been 53MPH at my location. Sustained winds have been 30+ for the past two hours.
Juliancolton
Not sure why this needs to be separate from the storm system obs thread but anyway... It's windy. I got a 20 mph gust on my stupid little hand-held anemometer which means it was probably like 50.

Upton mentioned that in their wind advisory update. I don't see them changing their minds now. In fact Mt Holly just dropped their high wind warnings

Yep and I'm looking for gust reports and they are hard to find in a thread where people are talking about 20 other things. My strongest gust so far is 43 mph, but I don't have enough clearance here to get accurate wind speeds- let's just say that the 43 mph gust I recorded is the strongest that's been recorded here in over a year. edit: just recorded 49mph on my anenometer

LongBeachSurfFreak
I just got hit by a mega gust while standing on the LIRR platform. Strong enough to knock you over. The girl standing next to me had her hat blew right off her head and on to the tracks. I haven't felt or heard wind roar through wires like that since Sandy.
