If the city and Long Island can manage somehow to stay all snow... total precip is between .7-.8..... 1.0"+ north of NYC

Wow hrrr looks like an all snow event even for NYC this is amazing man! I'll trust hrrr more than any other model this close don't want to jynx it but this is really looking good for even the Bronx.

Kinda chilly here 35/30

Upton sounds like they're staying on their toes.

Quote

NYC/Long Island/most of NE NJ/S Westchester/Fairfield: 2AM-NOON
Sunday - up to 1 inch of snow/sleet and up to a few hundredths
of ice. Depending on exactly how fast cold air builds in behind
the storm/how long precipitation lingers Sunday night - higher
snow totals maybe needed especially over eastern Long Island.

Billy, do you think Long Island can remain frozen throughout?

I've been saying CAD is undermodeled, I think NYC metro will be the battleground for quite some time so it's tough to say exactly...I'm not sure if LI stay frozen throughout entirety , however I would not be shocked to see south shore rain or sleet, and north shore snow.. especially at onset... I think everyone ends as snow

if I had to pick a model that's had the best handle on this event, I'd say the RGEM... very consistent... but I think even the RGEM is underdoing CAD, also snowpack does play a small role in all this
