The 15 year snow average from 2002-03 through 2016-17 is now 35.51" which is the highest since records began in 1869. Interestingly, the 10 year average is lower, 34.73", which is not the highest all-time, but it is the highest since the 1924-25 season. We would need another 16.2" this year to break the all-time 10 year record. Today was also the 25th storm of 6 or more inches in Central Park in the last 15 years. The previous 30 years only had 23.
