Professional Lurker
Heh' can't imagine what it looks like in the real heavy band 20mi E of me. Whiteout at times here. close to 5" Wind picking up, some blowing and drifting snow.Haven't ventured out yet, was going to ski but may not die to family drama...5 sounds about right. I would bet that we wind up with the lowest amounts in Mass.Screw zone.Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk

I imagine that death band east of here is maybe more powdery? Sounds similar to what my wife reported. Maybe the next storm will be more to our liking. Still SN+ in Augusta but less so, as the band slips south. GYX has added the foothills to WSW, now calling for 5-9 rather than 3-6. I'd be happier if my snowblower was still operable. However, it may be an easy fix, and since the State offices here closed at noon, I finally get to see the machine in daylight.

Hoth
Interestingly, the wind really dropped in this heavy deform band. Could that be because of the convergence aloft? Great rates in this. Flakes stacking efficiently.

Like why it's calm under a thunderstorm updraft.
TalcottWx
Signs of a really impressive burst of heavy snow developing south of BOS. Band is rotating NW toward the deform.
