Wow. Heaviest snow of the morning so far. Hard to guess how much is on the ground. I want to say 4" at this point.

12z HRRR shows 0.8" more liquid for NYC and 1"+ more from roughly the Nassau border east. Shows a pretty quick end though after 1pm. The 10-1 snow map shows up to 15" for much of LI.

Well it is ripping here Woodbridge, and i am just across from SI I assume same there, since no one has reported in. It's gotta be close to 4, but I'm not going out to check. Even my dog was smarter than that....

As is the HV/NNJ... The back edge is zipping but it'll encounter some resistance from the expanding baroclinic leaf as the storm bombs out.

North and west I'm 10 miles west of MMU. Heaviest snow of the storm is right now. Temp is 24. Should last until 10:30-11:00. If it pivots over head we are going to make out big.

Looks like it will be 6"-12" for NYC metro and 10"-18" for LI, based on current radar and observations.

a few inches on the ground but looks to be building FAST. (Roof tops are deceiving as they will prob only have an inch or two throughout the storm due to very high winds)
