This is our big event for the year....enjoy it up our way. I picture this as a 3-4 hr snow squall....not a "snow storm". But yes, I agree and will enjoy. Hitting the WaWa on Easton Rd...I'll see how the roads are.

shemATC
Starting to see some wet flakes mixed in, but still mostly sleet. On P-type radar it appears r/s line is over the river into Burlington county, yet a small section of sleet is left behind by 7-10 miles... right over my house. LOL. Chief83
Worcester PA 1" on the ground - roads covered. 32 degrees. Surprised roads covered so fast at 32 and yesterdays surface warming. Radar to west doesn't look good.

No this is a complete failure, maybe not for areas north and west of the City, but we are still under a winter storm warning for 2-4 inches of snow. Its 40 degrees outside, raining and precip is almost over. We were modeled to get about 4 or 5 inches. This is a complete joke here.

But the models aren't always right....this is meteorology. You were warned last evening that current obs didn't favor the extreme amounts that some models were predicting. Couple that with past history of 60 degrees followed by snow and yeah. However, I don't fault the NWS one bit because this could have gone either way down there even as late as 1AM this morning. And IF the NWS decided not to post WSW for that area, people would still be complaining "why aren't they posting WSW's? what are they waiting for?". They cant win sometimes. There is always a screw zone with these types of systems, it is inevitable. Sorry that it looks to be N DE for this one.
shemATC
I'm still not even over to full snow yet so the screw zone is further than DE, and I swear on radar the r/s line looks like it is actually moving back towards the river.

Voyager
The bombing low appears to be sucking the moisture out of the western flank of the precipitation shield. We are down to "pixie dust" out here in the coal country.

shemATC
Looks to be a heavy band coming north east just above PA/DE/NJ border. Still sleeting for me, if it hasn't fully changed by the time that gets here, I might not even clear 2" (even counting the 1/4" of sleet out there). Ralph Wiggum
Radar isn't completely horrible but convection is definitely robbing the Western edge of moisture. Still backbuilding happening and several hours more of moderate to heavy snow Chesco, Montco, Bucks.

jwilson
I'm going to live vicariously through you guys. This ended up being a bit of a bust out my way. Just moved way too fast and we lost an hour or so to heavy rain. Hoping ya'll can cash in when the low bombs.

shemATC
Finally all snow about 6:20. Right in time fore the fgen band (I hope). Not liking that the band might be tracking on the SE side of the river, but I'll take being on the fringe of it rather than in a subsidence zone.
