Unless I got Year wrong. I'm thinking of the one that all fell overnight in a short window and shut down 84. There was a band that dropped 3-4" per hour and we ended up 14-16"

Jan 27, 2011?

That's the one where you slept through 4" per hour rates and Ginxy got like 18" in 6 hours.

That's the one. I was up for it. Neighbor went into labor and they had to have town plow her out of driveway so ambulance could get her

Lol yep I remember that one. I wonder where this death band sets up shop, one of those where 4-5 per hour for a couple of hours.

Can't see the upper air yet, but just based on the micro-bombing tucked back west on the sfc, that is probably some really impressive stuff going on aloft. That would def be 3"+ per hour type stuff. Hopefully it continues to hold for the next 36 hours.

James, what are your thoughts for Nantucket, RI?

I've been in meetings all day and come out to a new thread with 27 pages.....something must be up.

For you I would go with the NWS estimate of 8-12" right now and then go higher with the 00z suite if that indeed is the case.
