JC-CT
Early GFS frames, our shortwave is coming in at a steeper angle out west. Heights slightly higher in the east.

ORH_wxman
Based on 36h, this should be more amped than 06z.
JC-CT
You could see how much stronger the shortwave was initialized vs. 6z at 6h. Very good to see...

weatherwiz
I have a question about bufkit as I don't want to state something that isn't correct and this has always confused me. This is a profile for Waterbury, CT from the NAM. The blue contours (obviously indicating sinking air) are always something to keep an mind. Is this depicted sinking motion something to worry about or is it negligible since it is not within the SGZ? Basically...is it only a problem if its shown within the SGZ and can it be ignored if just shown very shallow like it is here?
