NJwx85
The Euro closes off at 700mb SE of Cape Cod. The only reason why areas further to the NW of the city don't do as well is because the storm isn't as mature as when it reaches SNE.

A 14 mb drop in 6 hrs is the real deal. You can see why the Euro is pounding LI/SNE so hard.

Manny
Wow to the Euro. It's funny how we come at the NAM sometimes for ridiculous QPF totals but I think we just got Euro'd. 12-18" not off the table anymore?
jm1220
Looking at the QPF I have to think those amounts are a little overdone. You'd have to see 20-1 or even higher ratios to get the 24" totals, and the storm is still booking it NE. But a depiction like that is still well over a foot to locally 18" areawide. The UKIE / GFS /EURO are all now 12 to 15 . I liked 18 in New England yesterday , I can`t believe that may be underdone .
sferic
Is it feasible with the afternoon package that Upton bumps total for NYC/LI from the 6-12 to 10-16 or even the magical 12-18 ?
