This is the forecast for my grandmothers town in western Mass today....

Today

Unebelievable toady. At 2:00 it is 78 at both GSP and Asheville! Just 3 and 2 degrees below the all-time monthly highs respectively, with still a couple of hours of afternoon sun left. And depending on what happens this evening, GSP could break the all-time monthly record for the highest low - the low this moring was just 61, the record is 60. These aren't the kind of records I like to see broken, but it seems the only kind we ever break anymore.

There has to got to be a weather station out there somewhere pushing mid to upper 80s.

According to Wundermap there's tons of them, all the way through Mississippi, LA, and Texas, with a 92 near Houston. But heck, there's widespread 80s through the piedmont and fall line areas of the SE, and an 84 all the way up to around Roanoke Rapids.
