CAPE
36/28 here with a thin overcast. Temps wont be a problem. Getting in the decent band(s) is the challenge.
BTRWx
We'd want to see radar like better than this around 11pm https://rapidrefresh.noaa.gov/HRRR/for_web/hrrr_ncep_jet/2017012923/t3/1ref_t3sfc_f05.png
Deck Pic
40/30. Last I checked was light rain. The 18z 4k NAM correctly showed this front-running precip. Main event still later this evening into overnight for DC metro. I'm a little concerned about my temperature. Models had it a few degrees lower at this point. nj2va
39/29. It has that cold/snow feel outside but safe to say RGEM will be off with temps since it has me below freezing by 10pm.

87storms
this one probably is a next'er, but i'm going to stay tuned. radar does look rather horrendous, though. hopefully this is one of those storms that blossoms to the east as the low moves through. i do think someone will get banded...seen these stripe snows before...but this is definitely one of "those" winters so far... Wish I could get excited about the next couple of weeks. With the zonal flow regarding next weekend, I'm into the "where the storm enters the west coast is where it'll exit the east coast." Can't see a phase or trough digging for next weekend. Gotta enjoy the next 12 hours.

No, the rgem is spot on so far with precip timing. It had this batch of light stuff moving through. Then between 10pm-1am it fills back in through most of the region. Temps Otoh were too low. That was pretty obvious.
