Jonger
Mo, IL, IN and Ohio are posting the highest positive anomaly on planet earth. What are the odds of that?
cyclone77
It's been snowing here very lightly the last hour and a half or so. Too light to stick so far. Warm ground probably ain't doing it any favors. Radar upstream looks pretty wussy, so wouldn't be surprised to see this end as a T.

There were 52 Friday's that year, which one? You stated you have the flu currently, fever ongoing? jk. Almost all my snow is gone now. Got the heavy rains and 3 rounds of storms yesterday, another first (previous highest in winter was 2 rounds in a day). I noticed on the UW weather station the temperature is rocketing upwards during the last 2 hours. Went from 9 to 11.7 in a hour and 15 mins. At 12.5ºC - 1:45 am. hawkeye_wx
Just like the inch snowfall a couple weeks ago, today's bright late-season sun is eating right through the snow despite a temp in the low to mid 20s. Much of the ground is already nearly bare.

BuffaloWeather
Hit 71 here yesterday. (Tying the all time Feb record) Only the 2nd time in history to hit 70 in Feb. Hard to cheer for snow after enjoying weather like that.

Chambana
Tuesday has potential to break the record high of 67 set just last year, if that occurs that would be two records we broke set in 2016. Also if we reach 60's on Tuesday, that would be 11/28 days in February to have a reading of 60 degrees or higher. Really incredible.
cyclone77
Interesting to see how much the deep snow cover over the northwest half of Iowa is having on the temps this morning. Significantly colder than areas to the south that are free of snow cover. Also colder than the areas to the north of the cover where there's even northwest winds. Jonger
Snow cover makes a HUGE impact on temps. Last night would have been 10 to 15 degrees colder with snow cover.
