lakeeffectkid383
Temp has been locked in all night and all morning here at 31 with freezing rain and there's a pretty good glazing here. Some branches and lines are starting to sag for sure. Anyone know what time it's expected to switch back to snow around Buffalo?

Dumping a mix of rain and giant globs of slush now I wonder if BGM is still snow seeing that the Correlation Coefficient line is approaching them on radar now
Gravity Wave
Snow has been mixing in here for the past 15 minutes or so, which was earlier than I expected. Not hearing any sleet at the moment.

BGM Blizzard
We briefly flipped to sleet and freezing rain for all of about 15 minutes down here in BGM. Back to heavy dense cloud of parachutes
winter_rules
At 1,700ft in NW Delaware County it started as a snow/sleet mix at 32F and switched to all snow a little after 7AM. I measured exactly 3" on the sidewalk at 10AM. It has continued snowing heavily since then. It's been quite a while since we have had a snowstorm of 10"+ in this neck of the woods so I am hopeful this keeps up....though it looks like quite a gap in the radar (not sure if it is officially considered a dryslot?) is approaching as the systems merge together. It was 31F for most of the morning but is now down to 29F. Let it snow!

Moderate snow...My thinking was 9" for us and KBGM now basically has come around to my way of thinking. My forecast was based on my KBUF snowmap rule...take their totals for right across the county line from me and divide by 2 when extrapolating to here...so 12-18" (yesterday map) becomes 6-9".
