USCAPEWEATHERAF Posted January 23, 2017 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Look at the H5 setup, the shortwave trough disturbance that triggers the East Coast storm comes from central Canada into the Eastern Great Lakes over Lake Erie into the MId Atlantic states and then off the Eastern Seaboard, same track the upper level shortwave took to spawn the Great Blizzard of 1978, I didn't say it was the same thing, I said it was similar.
