moneypitmike
I need 6.5" to reach 40" on the season. RGEM shows it's possible if things break right.

tamarack
Over the past 3-4 days this event has (for my area) progressed thru: RA - RA starting as ZR - IP/ZR/RA - Rain/snow mix - mostly paste - all snow - am I too far north? Whatever the end, it will be better than the start of that string. Edit: Only need to get more than 2" to move ahead of last winter's total. CoastalWx
GFS is a nice thump for the ORH hills. I feel like for Ray's area...it's a question of how far inland do east winds penetrate.

moneypitmike
GFS says 'meh' to the RGEM. Regardless, I think we'll soon be seeing the advisories change. With ice seemingly becoming a non-issue, those advisories may not be needed. For the areas getting snow, they'll need to be reworded to reflect that. Perhaps low-end watches for a couple zones. Damage In Tolland
Rgem is ice cold . Close to keeping this area all ice after an inch of sleet. Looks like a classic hilltop icestorm while low spots are 33-34 and ORH NW gets 6-10"

I can't see the euro shooting north or warmer that much at all right now. Part of it is how well you advect the colder air just off the deck prior to tomorrow evening. srfc temps will be well above freezing and you basically are going to tick your way down to 32.01. If the models are too fast with that, then it may be more liquid. There is a pretty good high nosing in, so that's a start.
