FallsLake
Sleeting hard again. It had changed to snow a couple or hours back and I got a quick inch. It's all fine; the kids are going to fly on the sleds today.

I'm just glad the sleet appears to be gone. I think 8-12 looks solid around here depending on rates, flake size, etc. This is fun!
wxdawg10
i remember when we were supposed to change over to snow 9 hours ago lol. never thought i'd get tired of listening to sleet. oh well. 27 and sleet.

magpiemaniac
Measuring on my back deck, 8.5" of snow in GSO when I woke up this morning. NWS says that another 1" to 3" is possible by noon. Great event for us. Sorry to those who busted.

MarvelMountain
Hammered. Totally hammered... AT least 10 inches... Everything covered and a winter wonderland awaits daybreak. Still light snow. 29 degrees. No wind. Trees are buried. Photos soon.
WeatherNC
Coming down at an appreciable clip, reminds me of NOVA last Jan, except it snowed like this and harder for 24hrs. Visibility down to about a quarter mile, going to get some breakfast and evaluate the drive back.
WxKnurd
Eyeballing it from the bedroom window, looks like 1-2" of slop. I wouldn't be surprised if I go 5 minutes up Mt Holly-Huntersville to Hwy 16 and there is 4" there. So close yet so far.
SeVa
Around 4-5" by eyeball, but already have a weenie drift over 2' from all the sleet that rolled off the roof, haha
calculus1
Woke up this morning to right at 8 inches of snowfall as measured on the elevated deck. Amazing. It's still snowing too. Seems to be about the same clip it was last night during my reports. Maybe slightly less intense. Steady light snow. I am sorry that things didn't work out for many of our CLT and RDU posters. It's hard to know what to say.
salutethehill
A few miles NW of Greer - Hwy 14 - Blue Ridge area - haven't measured. Guessing 4-5" with a nice little snow shower currently. Sharp gradients. A few miles east...nothing. A few miles west...6"+. The joy of living near the southern mountains.

Ander
Depressing here in Durham. Went to bed at 1 to a light coating of snow (could still see blade of grass poking up) and woke up to the same. Judging by the look out the window and the continued pinging on my windows it is going to be a long few days and the power outages will start soon.
