Trends would seem to support a somewhat deeper low than earlier runs.  Could get a burst of pretty good winds near fropa tomorrow.

NAM coming in more impressive with winds.

Would not be surprised if a short duration wind headline is needed tomorrow.

DTX brought it up in their evening update, and mentioned the possibility of a Wind Advisory and gusts greater than 45 MPH.

We (as in MI) would be ground zero for the strongest winds.

The only thing preventing the winds from being more impressive is the lack of notable CAA on the backside of the low.

Yeah, CAA isn't the greatest but it's not terrible.  Actually from what I'm looking at for my area, there's a window around/just after 00z with mixing into the 60 kt layer a few thousand feet off the ground, which would even suggest high wind warning criteria would be within reach.

Will be interesting to see how much of a snow thump we get.

Hi-Res models have been pretty consistent with a widespread 3-5" (highest amounts obviously along M-59).

But it remains to be seen if that actually verifies, along with what I pointed out above.

you mean like 0.17" of freezing rain? Yeah, I wouldn't want to see that. I'll have to see if my parents said the same thing.

Winds have been fairly impressive considering lack of deeper mixing.  Getting frequent gusts around 45 mph at the nearby ob sites.  Should really rock later.

I love me a wind storm. What's the lowest baro so far? Gwinn was the lowest at 11 am close to 994.5

Dude, you need a sled. It's almost a tragedy for someone to live there and not ride.
