NJwx85
About 1.5" here. Has been snowing lightly most of the day. Had a few bursts of moderate snow around 12:30-1. Hoping that band SW of me can make it up this way but it doesn't look promising.

Looks like 5" is easily in reach, given the bands to our SW, and maybe 6" - looks like the NWS may end up being right about adding Middlesex to the warning area, after all. As of 4:00 pm, we're at 4.75", so 1/2" the last 30 minutes. Since about 4 pm, the intensity has come down a fair amount, as we're now snowing between lightly and moderately. Assuming we have a few more hours of this, we'll easily make 5", but 6" might be out of reach, unless there is some backbuilding and we get back into the 20+DBZ bands. Right now those bands have collapsed to just east of the TPK, which is east of me, as I'm 1/2 mile west of the TPK. Not sure they'll come back. I don't think the moisture to the west is what will be delivering snow to NYC. It's the moisture from SNJ and Delaware. Moisture isn't coming in from the west; it's from the south.
