jm1220
1 minute ago, ag3 said: Yes. But most here and all media gave it too much weight and were way too low with snow amounts. Rgem has been locked in for many many runs. Never choose the GFS over that model. TWC obviously went with it which explains their 1-3" they're still going with in NYC. Now watch it ramp up to 5-8". And the warnings should be expanded west again, maybe even into Bergen/Union/Middlesex Counties.

The northern and western parts of the state did well. Just north of Charlotte got 8", south of town a mixed bag. Very difficult forecast
SnowGoose69
The CT river valley dry nose is evident on radar as it often is at the start of a snow event. Heavier echoes into N NJ and cntrl and ern LI but not as much from Monmouth NE across NYC and WRN LI

hooralph
Down in Midtown now - just ripping when we got out at 34th st. Really impressive. Could barely make out TImes Sq, so we're talking about 1/3 mile visibility or so now.

Was trying to figure out how to copy/paste a radar screen shot and couldn't do it directly. Inspecting the URL for this, it looks like you've uploaded this to somewhere on this site. BxWeatherwatcher
hmm that impulse down south looks insane, what is even more crazy is the fact that it might try to tilt this back later on as it moves up the coast, keeping the snow here a bit longer.
